Bible Commission Launches Bible Classes at Vittal Deanery

VIttal,07 July 2024: Vicariate-Level Bible Classes at Vittal Vicariate (St John Paul II Vicarite) were inaugurated at Our Lady of Dolours, Vittal Church, on 07 July 2024. The first course, on the Gospel of Matthew in Konkani, titled “Dev Amchye Sangatha” / “God with us” for the priests, religious, and Laity of the Deanery, was inaugurated by Very Rev Fr Ivan Michael Rodrigues, the Vicar Forane of the Vicariate, by officiating a short enthronement right of the Bible 

Addressing the attendees, V. Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues underscored the significance of Bible study in the lives of the faithful. Organised by the ‘Commission for Bible of the Deanery Parishes’ and supported by the ‘Commission for Bible of the Diocese of Mangalore’, these sessions reflect a widespread initiative across the Diocese’s deaneries.
